Flier Systems Innovated: The Drum Seeder DS11

For sowing high speed, high precision of any type of (raw) seed.

The Challenge
The best sowing results are achieved when you use a different, specifically designed sowing drum for each variety of seed you sow.  Traditionally, the cost of each separate sowing drum is high and changing over to another sowing drum is time consuming.

Your Benefits

  • Because of their unique design, the seed drums are very inexpensive when compared to the rest of the seeder market
  • A very fast and easy way to change seed drums. You only have one fastener to loosen to change the drum.
  • Very strong (and quiet) vacuum which effectively aspirates the seed with a very small hole. Even raw seed is not a problem. In most cases, you no longer have to coat your seed.
  • Very precise operation. When more seeds aspirated than needed, the DS11 will blow or scrape off the excess. The large sowing drum makes it possible to combine high precision with high speed.\

Sowing in Trays or Soil Blocks
The Drum Seeder DS11 is suitable for sowing in trays, as well as sowing in soil blocks.
The capacity is 1.500 trays per hour, or 12.000 soil blocks per hour.

 Direct sowing
High precision is also made possible by direct sowing.   As opposed to traditional seeders, there is minimal distance between the sowing drum and the cell or pot.

Touch-screen control
Operation of the touch-screen control is very easy. You can adjust the settings for the vacuum and the pressure of the blowers for every seed type, and then save them through the touch-screen.

The seed bin
The seed in the seed bin is constantly moving because the seed bin vibrates.  This promotes successful aspiration.

Features Summary:

  • Sows with high capacity and high accuracy simultaneously
  • The sowing drums have very low price point
  • Very easy to use because of the intuitive touch-screen control panel and the ease of changing the sowing drum
  • Positive sowing results of more than 99%
  • Sowing multiple seeds in one pot or cell is possible
  • Sowing raw seeds is not a problem
  • Standalone, but can be fully integrated into a production line
  • Very compact
